Council 13808

Knights of Columbus
Knights of Columbus Mission
The Knights of Columbus empowers Catholic men to live their faith and serve their family, parish, community and country.
Who We Are

Since our Charter was formed on April 12, 2005, Pope John Paul II Council 13808 has demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting Christ Our King and Savior Catholic Church and serving the needs of charities in Greene, Putnam and Hancock counties. As Grand Knight, I have the privilege of leading this fine group of Catholic men who live their faith and unselfishly serve the needs of others in our community on a daily basis.

Our members put their faith into action in many ways with specific focus in the areas of Faith, Community, Family and Life programs. These programs coupled with our fundraising initiatives allow us to consistently provide much needed support to approximately 20 charities in the tri-county area. In addition, Council 13808 is recognized as one of the best councils in the State of Georgia and has received numerous accolades and awards.

If you are a practicing Catholic man, at least 18 years of age and have a strong desire to serve your church and help those less fortunate, we encourage you to learn more about the Knights of Columbus and consider joining our Council. We can assure you it is an opportunity that you won’t regret.

Our History and Heritage
Founded on the principles of charity, unity and fraternity, the Knights of Columbus was established in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney and a group of parishioners. Their intent? To bring financial aid and assistance to the sick, disabled and needy members and their families.

Today, Father McGivney is being considered for sainthood and there are over 1.9 million Knights around the world.

Here at COKAS, our Council was formed by 30 men in 2005. Today we have over 190 Knights that serve locally in our community, putting our faith into action and helping those most in need.
