Our Faith in Action

Faith

Our goal is to strengthen our men and their families in the faith. Programs in this category are designed to draw us closer to God and the Church in a tangible and meaningful way.

Major programs in this category include Support for our Seminarians, leading the 5th Sunday Rosary program, periodic Men’s Retreats, providing sacramental gifts to 1st Communion and Confirmation participants

Family

The programs in this category are developed for families by families. Our family programs are a response to a society that seeks to weaken the bonds of family. Put plainly, the majority of our time is easily spent in secular circles unless we intentionally create ways to live the domestic church. These programs help us to live this call.

Major programs in this category include our Pancake with Santa breakfast, Trivia Nights throughout the year, Lenten Fish Fries, and many activities during the Christmas season.

Community

As Knights of Columbus, we are called to serve our family and our God. Our first principle is Charity, at home with our families and in our communities. This is a critical part of our Knights of Columbus mission. Have you ever wondered, “How can I make my community better?”

Major programs in this category include our Charity Raffle fundraising activity and presenting donations to over 15 worthy non-profits in our area, offloading food at the Greene County Food Pantry monthly, leading blood drives during the year, recognizing our Law Enforcement community with an annual dinner and many more programs.

Life

The urgency of the threat to a culture of life cannot be misunderstood. The Knights of Columbus defends the dignity of each human being at every stage of life. Knights work together to build a culture of life and a civilization of love.

Major programs in this category include our annual Tootsie Roll drive that raises significant funds for people with Intellectual Disabilities, leading the March for Life at COKAS and helping out at Greene County Special Olympics programs in the Spring.
